Theiconic wooden fish decoration was, like the Gir doll collection, inspired by the cultures of South America, Asia and Eastern Europe, which fascinated Alexander Girard, their designer and one of the leading figures of American post-war design.
Each fish is an absolute original - it is hand carved from fir wood and also hand painted, has a metal weight inside and is packaged in a beautiful solid wood gift box. The set includes a small (dimensions: 12,5 x 3,5 cm) and a large fish (dimensions: 18 x 5,2 cm). It serves as a decoration or a child's toy.
