Hand carved from fir wood and also hand painted, each Wooden Doll is an absolute original. It adds a cosy feel and can also serve as a child's toy. The collection includes 22 dolls in total: a figure of a little devil, a cat, a dog and carved fish, for example.
The Wooden Dolls were inspired by the cultures of South America, Asia and Eastern Europe, which fascinated Alexander Girard – one of the leading figures of American post-war design. Girard decorated his Santa Fe home with these dolls, and today, these original figures can be found at the Vitra Design Museum.
The dolls come in a beautiful gift box iwith an embossed logo, inside which the doll itself lies on a protective bedding. It makes a stylish, designer gift for loved ones.
