In collaboration with the best Czech designers (Olgoj Chorchoj, Dechem Studio, Plecháč&Wielgus and others) Bomma creates hand-blown lights that have no precedent in the world. More than three hundred glass makers, almost as the only in the world, can blow out products up to 90 centimeters in size. They are allowed by the Czech crystal with a 24% lead share, thanks to which the cleanest and perfectly clear lights or other products are created. It also reflects light perfectly.
The Bomma brand is creatively led by designers from the deFORM studio – Václav Mlynář and Jakub Pollága. Thanks to the fact that the company has managed to combine modern design and excellent quality, it enjoys a number of awards (Czech Grand Design, Design Plus Award) and worldwide recognition.
In the DesignVille range you will find, for example, the Soap collection of lamps, whose shape and appearance were inspired by soap bubbles. They change shape, transparency and colour. Each piece in the collection is handmade, so it is always an original.
The Tim collection embodies the uniqueness and craftsmanship of Czech glassmaking in its size and shape. The size of around 90 centimetres is at the limit of what can be achieved by handmade and hand-blown glass. It was the Tim lamps that made the Bomma brand famous beyond the borders of the Czech Republic.
Shibari lamps occupy a specific place in the brand's portfolio. Designer Kateřina Handlová was inspired by the Japanese art of Kinbaku, which is an expression for the beauty of the body binding. The genuine bondage ropes on the surface of the hand-blown lights represent a secret system of loops and knots.
