Shibari is not only a tying technique but also a way of communicating through a secret system of loops, knots and lines. The Japanese refer to this technique as Kinbaku, which means the beauty of tight binding. And it is this tying that is applied to hand-blown glass lamps in the Shibari collection.
A single light or a cluster of three or five lights allows for countless combinations and possibilities for use in a space. Each lamp has a different style of binding. Genuine bondage ropes and glass hand-blown by Czech glassmakers are used .
