The Panton chair, designed in the early 1960s in the workshop of Verner Panton, became a design icon of the 20th century. The chair, made in collaboration with Vitra from a single piece of plastic, was first made of fibreglass, but due to the fragility of this material, it was re-produced in 1999 in a stronger polypropylene with a matt finish. It was also the first chair to be made from only one piece of plastic.
It is easy to like the Panton chair because its ergonomic shape and flexible material make it very comfortable. The light weight also makes the chair easy to handle and suitable for outdoor areas.
The Panton Chair is available in several colours.
