The Orient luminaire was designed by Danish designer Jo Hammerborg. It was reintroduced to the market by Lightyears (now Fritz Hansen). The aluminium / oak design: painted aluminium in combination with oak wood.
The design of Orient luminaires is characterised by high luminous efficiency even though the light source itself is cleverly hidden inside. It emits a pleasant, soft light that does not glare unnecessarily.
The luminaires are precisely handcrafted from the finest materials. The shade is made of lacquered, wood-moulded aluminium. Its top is made of rosewood, which gives the luminaire an exotic touch.
