The 65 chair was designed by Alvar Aalto for his Artek brand in 1935. Aalto also worked here with the L-shaped leg that became typical of his work. The chair frame is made of solid birch, the seat of birch plywood. It is the wood finish that makes the chair an icon of modern design that deserves a place in the home of every lover of Scandinavian design.
