The Eames DKR-2 chair is an all-wire variation on the classic Eames plastic chair, designed by designers and husband and wife team Charles and Ray Eames in the 1950s to create a chair that conforms perfectly to the human body while being durable and easy to handle. These requirements have materialized in a chair that has become an icon of modern design over the years. The chair is designed to be used at home, in the office and in public spaces.
This variant is particularly interesting because of its base, which is called the "Eiffel Tower". The intricate steel wire construction inimitably combines light, elegant shapes with structural strength. The chair is available in 01 chrome, 30 basic dark, 32 dark grey and 17 cream matte. The DKR-2 basic dark variant can be purchased as a stand-alone product, other colour versions can be found in the colour chart and the chosen colour should be specified in the order notes.
In addition, choose the upholstery variant from the pattern (please specify in the order notes): Fabric F60 (woven Hopsak fabric with a more distinctive pattern), Leather L20 (robust cowhide) and Leather L40 Premium (smooth cowhide with a light sheen). The price is for the Fabric F60 variant, other variants on request.
Chairs are supplied with hard floor glides as standard (if you would like carpet glides, please specify this in the notes).
We also offer the DKR chair without padded seat ( chrome or basic dark construction).
