Designer Saskia Huebner, who designed the collection, was inspired by her trip to Japan, where she admired traditional Japanese lamps. The lampshade is made of rice paper, which creates a pleasant warm light to diffuse. The table lamp also has a powder coated steel base with foam on the bottom to protect the table.
