Immediately after its introduction at the Copenhagen Fair, Little Petra, of which only 30 pieces were produced in 1938, gained a warm following. Later it received numerous awards at exhibitions in New York and Berlin.
It represents one of the few designs by architect Viggo Boesen, who was instrumental in popularising the Funkis style in the 1930s.
With its low seat and seemingly open arms, the lounge chair was named after Boesen's mother-in-law. The larger version shares the same bold character and aesthetics as Little Petra, thanks to its size it is well suited not only for living rooms but also for complementing hallways and lounge areas of anywhere from the home to hotel lobbies and beyond.
The price shown refers to the variant with an oak base and 17mm Sahara sheepskin upholstery. Walnut base and different upholstery materials are also available.
