Northern Oaki Chairs and Lounge Chairs

Designed by Stine Aas, the Oaki collection from Northern is inspired by the simplicity and artistry that characterises traditional Japanese wood craftsmanship. The designer set out to conceal the chair’s joins, giving Oaki a refined, uniquely weightless character that looks seamless in appearance. The legs of Oaki chairs and lounge chairs are extended up to the height of the armrest. Because they are slightly bent backwards, they seem to be in constant motion.
