The lamp is part of the Nelson Bubble Lamp series, designed by American industrial designer George Nelson in 1947. The Ball Crisscross model has a spherical shape enriched with a cross detail. The lamp casts a soft, even light.

The body of the shade is made of steel wire, which is coated with a translucent plastic polymer.

The Nelson Bubble Lamp collection offers several sizes as well as designs.
