HAY was founded in 2002 in Copenhagen by Mette and Rolf Hay. Since the beginning, their aim has been to create furniture and accessories that blend strong visual identity with practicality and reasonable pricing. The brand’s aesthetic draws from geometric shapes, mid-century modern references and today’s way of living – resulting in playful Nordic design that feels both fresh and timeless.
Among HAY’s most recognisable products is the Palissade collection – durable and elegant outdoor furniture made from steel, designed by the brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. Also popular is the About a Chair (AAC) series, designed by Hee Welling, featuring minimalist, versatile seating for various interiors.
