The Guild HM14 shelf honours the legacy of classic Danish design while adapting to contemporary lifestyles with ease. Its organic line, which flows gracefully like a garden path, carries a quiet memory of a time when furniture was created with respect for materials and human needs.
The design comes from the pen of architects Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen, who created a series of timeless pieces with exceptional craftsmanship in the 1950s. The shelf, originally designed for the Hvidt family's master bedroom, has only now been brought into mainstream production thanks to the &Tradition brand - with an eye for detail and with today's sustainability requirements in mind.
The compact HM14 variant in solid walnut with a lacquered finish and subtle metal handles stands out, especially in smaller spaces. In the bedroom it serves as a storage area for books and an alarm clock, in the hallway as an unobtrusive but elegant storage element. Thanks to its timeless look and natural tone, it fits into the interior both alone and in combination with other pieces from the Guild collection.
