Fritz Hansen Series 7

Arne Jacobsen designed a chair called "Model 3107" as a variation and development of the Ant. He used a technology invented by Charles and Ray Eames that allows plywood to be bent under pressure in three directions.
 
The 3107 chair appeared in 1963 in the iconic photograph of seated model Christine Keeler taken by the famous photographer Lewis Morley. Although it later turned out to be an imitation, sales increased dramatically. Today, it is by far the best-selling chair in Fritz Hansen's history and possibly the best-selling chair ever: an incredible 5 million units have been sold!
 
The chairs in the Series 7 collection are available in many designs: with plywood, upholstered or leather-covered seat, on fixed or swivel base.
