The Series 7 is the famous stackable chair designed exclusively for Fritz Hansen in 1955 by Danish designer Arne Jacobsen. The finish is white lacquered ash veneer, with visible wood grain.
Arne Jacobsen designed a chair called "Model 3107" as a variation and development of the Ant. In doing so, he used a technology invented by Charles and Ray Eames that allows plywood to be bent in three directions under pressure.
Today, the Series 7 collection is by far the best-selling chair in Fritz Hansen's history and possibly the best-selling chair ever: over 5 million units have been sold.
