Designed by husband and wife Charles and Ray Eames, the Eames DSX (Dining Height Side Chair X-Base) is the most understated version of their take on a classic plastic chair. They designed these chairs in the 1950s with the aim of creating a piece of furniture that would perfectly adapt to the human body while being durable and easy to handle. These requirements materialized in a chair that has become an icon of modern design over the years. The chair is designed in such a way that it finds perfect use in the office, home and public spaces. In addition to the fibreglass re-edition, Vitra Eames chairs today are made from solid polypropylene.
All Eames chairs are characterized by a molded seat and a standard steel base, which combines simple elegance with real structural strength.
Chairs come with gliders for hard floors (if interested in gliders for carpet, put this requirement in the notes). If interested, it is also possible to order a version with a padded seat or, fully padded version or a chair with a black base.
