The collection of chairs made of solid wood was originaly part of the FDB chair collection. The whole collection was designed with the idea of an elegant, simple and practical design that would also be suitable for mass production. The J110 chair boasts a slightly conical base, besides the significant high and wide curved backrest providing maximum comfort.
Among the original contributors to the collection are Folke Pålsson, Poul M. Volther and Jørgen Bækmar. The project combined industrial production with architectural design. FDB revolutionised the design industry and on top of that is the forerunner of many design icons that led to worldwide recognition of Denmark.
