After years of experimenting with the concept of a laminated wooden frame inspired by old wooden tennis rackets, Danish design duo Hvidt & Mølgaard released the atypical X chair in 1959. This chair catches the eye with its distinct sloping silhouette and understated, sophisticated aesthetic. It is made of oak veneer with walnut inlay and has a seat woven from natural rattan.
