Muuto's Varjo wool rugs were designed by Danish designer Tina Ratzer.

The Varjo rugs are handwoven from the finest 100% New Zealand wool. Their pattern is based on a colour arrangement popularly known as herringbone. The name Varjo, meaning “shadows” in Finnish, refers to the effects created between the layers of the pattern. Designer Tina Ratzer's goal was to create a geometric rug with a third-dimensional effect.
