Immediately after its introduction at the Copenhagen Fair, Little Petra, of which only 30 pieces were produced in 1938, gained a warm following. Later it received numerous awards at exhibitions in New York and Berlin.
It represents one of the few designs by architect Viggo Boesen, who was instrumental in popularising the Funkis style in the 1930s. Boesen often used natural materials and Little Peter was no different.
With its low seat and seemingly open arms, the lounge chair was named after Boesen's mother-in-law. It is surprisingly petite, which makes it a perfect fit even for small interiors.
The displayed price corresponds with the variant with a walnut base and Skandilock 17mm Moonlight sheepskin upholstery. Oak base and different upholstery materials are also available.
