Konstantin Grcic studied cabinetmaking before setting up his own studio, which is active in several fields. The office of Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design was later established in Munich in 1991, and is involved in industrial design projects, architectural collaborations and exhibition design. In addition to designing furniture, his work can also be found in the permanent exhibitions of MoMA or the Centre Georges Pompidou.
