The serving plate with a diameter of 24.8 cm is part of the Kastehelmi collection, designed by designer Oiva Toikka for the Finnish brand Iittala more than 50 years ago (1964), which is a testament to the timelessness of Scandinavian design and the excellence of the renowned Finnish glassmaking.
Kastehelmi translates as "dewdrops" and this is exactly what the embossed surface of a plate or other utensil in the collection looks like.
