TheEames DSR (Dining Sidechair Rod) was designed by designers and husband and wife team Charles and Ray Eames in the 1950s to produce a chair that would adapt perfectly to the human body, while being durable and easy to handle. These requirements have materialized in a chair that has become an icon of modern design over the years. The chair is designed to find a place in the home, in the office and in public spaces. In addition to the re-edition in fibreglass, the Vitra Eames chair is now manufactured in solid polypropylene.
All Eames chairs are characterised by a moulded seat that adapts perfectly. This variant also impresses with its revolutionary steel base, which is called the "Eiffel Tower". The complex steel wire construction inimitably combines light, elegant shapes with structural strength.
As standard, the chairs are supplied with glides for hard flooring (if you would like glides for carpet, please specify this requirement in the notes). If desired, a padded seat or full padded version can also be ordered.
