TheEames DAW (Dining Armchair Wood)chair was designed by designers and husband and wife team Charles and Ray Eames in the 1950s with the aim of making a chair that conforms perfectly to the human body, while being durable and easy to handle. These requirements have materialized in a chair that has become an icon of modern design over the years. The chair is designed to be used at home, in the office and in public spaces.
All Eames chairs are characterised by a contoured seat that adapts perfectly and offers comfortable seating thanks to the armrests. This version has a solid wooden base, the colour of which you can choose from the 02 golden maple, 95 dark maple and 30 black maple shades. The exact price depends on the chosen base.
In addition to the re-edition in fibreglass, Vitra Eames chairs are now made in rigid polypropylene. The chair is available in several colour variants, which you can choose from the sample book. Please specify your choice of seat and base in the order notes. You can also choose the design of the seat padding from the swatchbook, which is made of high-quality Hopsak fabric in 28 colour variants.
As standard, the chairs are supplied with glides for hard floors (if you would like glides for carpet, please specify this in the notes).
