For the first time, future partners at work and in life met at glass studios in Nový Bor. Then they founded a studio in Prague called Dechem, which has a range of products in its portfolio, from lighting fixtures to decorative items. The core of their work is respect for traditional crafts and control of production processes. In addition, the products come from Czech workshops. In 2014, they became winners of the Academy of Design awards and won the title of Grand Designer of the Year. In addition to his own production, Dechem also participates in exhibitions and curatorial projects.
You can know them on the DesignVille website mainly thanks to their collection of Phenomena pendants from the Bomma brand. The name is based on the Greek word for appearance according to Platonic doctrine, phenomena are transient parables of perfect shapes. The morphology of the collection, which represents basic geometric shapes, is also based on this philosophy.
