Brokis was founded by Jan Rabell in 2006, but its manufacturing roots go back nearly two centuries. The brand builds on the heritage of the Janštejn glassworks, established in the early 19th century. With deep knowledge of glassmaking craft, Brokis maintains strong technical expertise and continuously pushes the boundaries of lighting design. Each piece combines hand-blown glass with materials like wood or hand-pressed metal.

Among Brokis’s signature collections is Shadows, designed by Lucie Koldová and Dan Yeffet. The timelessly shaped lights feature a light source subtly hidden in precisely crafted wood, allowing the contours of the hand-blown shade to stand out. A similar concept is found in the Orbis collection, known for its clean geometry and refined play with light. Nature served as inspiration for the Ivy collection, where the individual lights form poetic compositions.
