Van Havre began his successful collaboration with the Belgian brand in 1999. Both him and the brand have in common the admiration towards wood as a main source of material for timeless pieces. The balance between the past, which inspires the designer, the present, when the product is created, and the future for which it is created, is the main theme of his work.
Alain Van Havre have designed a range of furniture made of solid wood for Ethnicraft. Examples are the Nordic or the Shadow collection in a simple scandinavian style or a series of Mikado tables with an original shaped base.
