The hanging lamp A331, nicknamed "Beehive", created by designer Alvar Aalto for the brand Artek, is one of his most popular projects. Thanks to the perforated steel rings with a brass finish that divide the different floors, the A331 lamp creates a pleasant warm diffused light in the interior. The main part is made of white painted aluminium. The lamp is suitable for both personal and public spaces.
The A331 "Beehive" lamp was originally created for the University of Jyväskylä in Finland in 1953.
