The duo met many years earlier. Boris Berlin from Russia and Aleksej Iskos from Ukraine collaborated in also Danish studio Komplot design, which Boris co-founded and Aleksej worked there as an assistant. Because of their shared philosophy and approach to design, they founded their own studio named after them.
Iskos-Berlin is known, for example, for their collaboration with the Muuto brand, for which they designed an extensive collection of Fiber chairs made from recyclabe material, or Under the Bell pendants.
